Laura received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology. She completed her early training at Santa Rosa Junior College providing psychotherapy to students. She later completed her pre-doctoral and post-doctoral internship here at SSU CAPS. Laura was also trained in community mental health at the Lomi Psychotherapy Clinic where she provided long term depth-oriented psychotherapy to adults, children, couples, and families. Laura's clinical interests include working with those affected by trauma or abuse, working with students from historically marginalized communities, treatment of depression and anxiety, family of origin issues, and identity development. Laura is committed to social justice advocacy as an integral part of supporting the overall mental health and well-being of the campus community. As Director, Laura welcomes feedback from all members of the campus community about how CAPS might make our services more collaborative and inclusive.
